The blue hours: Every day from 6pm to 11pm
The international atmosphere, décor, blue-tinted bar and subtle musical ambiance set the tone for the ultimate European cocktail bar experience. With a highly creative and varied range of cocktails, Blue Hours in the Bar at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée are for those who want to relax without ever getting bored. Designed by Patrick Jouin, tall tables and chairs at the sculpted glass bar break up the layout of low tables and leather armchairs in the lounge area, making this high-ceilinged venue the ideal place to soak up the atmosphere of Paris, with all its paradoxes.

The red hours: Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11pm to 2am
At 11pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the Bar at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée comes alive with a new visual identity and a change to electro rock music. First the bar changes colour from its iconic blue to a new, vivid red. The ambiance also changes as a DJ take over the recently installed DJ booth and upgraded sound system. The international clientele loves these way-out evenings in the most Parisian of all the city's luxury hotels.
