For Christmas, Christophe Michalak, Head Pastry Cook at the Plaza Athénée, has again drawn on the hotel’s heritage to take young and old on the road to mouth-watering delights!
Inspired by the Plaza Athénée’s children’s pedal car, this Christmas “log” resembles a sports car, straight from the taste workshops at 25 Avenue Montaigne. Beneath its dazzling red bodywork lies a creative gem that subtly combines flavours and textures – nougatine-like crunch, a genoa sponge delicately covered with strawberry compote and a light violet-flavoured cream.
The essential accessories include wheels made of gianduia chocolate, chocolate bumpers and a sugar windscreen!
